Chantal Veerasammy, OD, received both her Bachelor of Vision Science (B.V.S.) and her Doctor of Optometry Degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Dr. Veerasammy’s internships included work with Low Vision at Davie Low Vision Clinic, work with the VA in Salisbury, North Carolina, and rotations in Contact Lenses and Binocular Vision in South Florida. Following Optometry school, Dr. Veerasammy was in private practice and mobile eye care, practicing in both nursing home and rehabilitation facilities in Florida. She is currently teaching as a member of the Adjunct Faculty for multiple Optometry schools.
Dr. Veerasammy’s optometric interests include fitting specialty contact lenses and co-management for surgical procedures.
Dr. Veerasammy moved to Massachusetts and joined Dr. Latina’s team at the Advanced Glaucoma Specialists location in 2013. When she is not working, Dr. Veerasammy enjoys baking and traveling. She is a member of the Massachusetts Optometric Association as well as the Florida Optometric Association.
